QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  High school diploma or GED equivalent.

2.  Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in venue operations or maintenance departments preferred.

3.  One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.

4.  Experience in one (1) of the following trades preferred: either working experience in electrical or working experience in carpentry or working experience in painting or working experience in flooring or working experience in plumbing.

5.  Working knowledge of personal computer software.

6.  Strong organizational and exceptional guest service skills.

7.  Possess training, supervisory and motivational skills.

8.  Hold a valid Texas driver's license and have and maintain a clean and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirements.

9.  Must be able to work at heights greater than 60' via catwalks or lift equipment.

10.Ability to lift and cany loads approximately 75 lbs.; physically capable of bending, stooping, continuous standing, and walking. Able to work in varied temperatures.

11.Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

12.Possess a strong ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.

13.Be detail oriented.

$24.19/HS10

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2023-2024

                                              

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Perform as working leadman and direct PT/FT shift crew members daily to ensure daily scheduled tasks are completed on time to meet specific venue schedules.

2.  Train and supervise CFISD staff who perform event conversions to ensure that each is completed accurately, safely and on schedule.

3.  Perform and participate in pre-& post-event setups, inspections, and safety checks.

4.  Keep an ongoing up-to-date inventory of building service equipment and stock items.

5.  Ability to interpret setup diagrams for event layouts regarding staging, tables, chairs, etc.

6.  Work closely with stakeholders and departments to define solutions to ensure event success.

7.  Document all occurrences during conversions, including employee accidents or injuries, facility or equipment damage or misuse, and disciplinary problems with full-or part-time staff members.

8.  Participate in BSC staff members' yearly review process.

9.  Keep the operations storage and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

10.Work with and supervise personnel involved in operating, monitoring, repairing, and maintaining the facility's lighting systems, environmental controls, event-related equipment, vehicles and other systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

11.Possess the ability to present a positive and professional image during a high-paced work environment.

12.Recommend purchasing equipment and supplies and prepare specifications for purchases as needed.

13.Respond to visual and audible alarms from building automation and life safety systems.

14.Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, expedite workflow and examine work for completeness and quality.

15.Compile required and special reports and prepare recommendations on findings for evaluation.

16.Attend and/or conduct facility production meetings and operations department planning sessions, meetings and training sessions.

17.Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

18.Assist in other projects as assigned by management.
