QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Proficient in recordkeeping and general office management.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  4. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. 
  6. Competency in areas of filing, basic accounting and operation of computer programs. 
  7. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and receive directives from multiple supervisors.

  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$32,513 – CP4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitor employee time records and perform adjustments as needed.
  2. Calculate wages, hours worked and overtime pay for employees with multiple pay rates.
  3. Communicate with assigned department staff and employee to ensure accuracy of information reported.
  4. Respond to employee payroll related inquiries to ensure efficient, equitable and courteous resolution.
  5. Prepare and submit required reports and forms.
  6. Prepare and post all payroll changes. 
  7. Maintain orderly and accurate physical and electronic record
  8. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  9. Verify records to ensure accurate payroll data. 
  10. Answer and respond to emails and phone calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
  11. Monitor department payroll budget.   
  12. Provide input on payroll processing policies and procedures.
  13. Must be able to meet department and payroll deadlines.
  14. Act as backup for various positions within the Community Programs department, including but not limited to, receptionist and registration clerk.  
  15. Work as part of a team to contribute to the success of the Community Programs department.
  16. Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager, Assistant Director of Community Programs, Director of Community programs and/or District Administration staff.    
  17. Regular and reliable attendance is a essential function of the job.
