QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in general finance and /or accounting functions is preferred.
  4. Experience in Powerschool eFinancePlus and School Cash preferred.
  5. Competency in areas of filing, basic accounting, and operation of a personal computer.

$42,078/CP-7

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Process requisition change orders for campuses/departments.
  2. Post district warehouse requisitions daily.
  3. Provide assistance to schools and departments regarding policies & procedures.
  4. Provide support for the financial software and district's activity fund accounting and online payment software provider (School Cash).
  5. Promptly respond to calls from campuses and departments to satisfactorily and thoroughly address the requests.
  6. Prepare monthly journal entries for activity funds (Custom Forms cost recovery and sales tax).
  7. Prepare weekly journal entries for recodes.
  8. Process petty cash replenishments and prepare reconciliations (end-of-year).
  9. Prepare annual parking rebate.
  10. Monitor School Cash email inbox and route to the intended campus or department.
  11. Monitor campus reconciliations for timely and correct completion each month and instruct the campuses on how to correct the reconciliation and ledger as required.  
  12. Complete annual year end reconciliations and fiscal year rollover for activity funds.
  13. Maintain the Establishment/Disestablishment of Activity Funds for all campuses and departments.
  14. Assist with analyzing and identifying the training, learning, and support needs of financial secretaries, department secretaries, principals, and administrators to communicate with the business services team.
  15. Assist in developing written and audio/video training resources.
  16. Perform general accounting & other duties as assigned by the Directors.
