QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Operate ten key by touch with accuracy and speed.
  4. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in payroll functions preferred.
  5. Experience in SunGard payroll software preferred.
  6. Competency in areas of filing, basic accounting and operation of personal computer.

  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$42,078/CP-7

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Work as part of a team to ensure that the district’s payrolls are processed correctly.
  2. Perform data entry as required to assist in processing the district’s payrolls.
  3. Maintain deduction and direct deposit records.
  4. Calculate and confirm employee salaries and hourly rates.
  5. Balance and verify records to ensure accurate payroll data.
  6. Act as a backup for various positions within the payroll department, including receptionist duties.
  7. Process interfaces required to integrate data into the payroll system.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Payroll Assistant Director and the Director of Payroll.
  9. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
