QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two to three years of related event catering planning experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience in event catering planning, catering flow management, and catering food displays.
  3. People person driven attitude who strives to assist clients with top level service.
  4. Knowledgeable with using computer software programs including MS Office, Outlook, and Event Planning programs, while willing and able to learn new software programs.
  5. Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  6. Facilitate open, direct, positive, and objective lines of communication with others.
  7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks calmly, professionally, and dependably.

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$24.43/HS-10

Additional $1.00 per hour flex pay will be added to salary, plus phone stipend

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the 2024-2025 school year.

                                              

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate all banquet and catering events at the Berry Center and off site CFISD catered events.
  2. Maintain a current inventory of all banquet and catering supplies.
  3. Knowledgeable on Catering and Banquet Food and service styles.
  4. Checking all catering displays for food quality and appearance.
  5. Effectively communicate with all guests, staff, and vendors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  6. Organize and coordinate event timelines, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  7. Coordinate and execute event décor set-up and breakdown.
  8. Experienced with event billing pre and post event.
  9. Liaison with vendors and external suppliers.
  10. Maintain high personal grooming standards and professional demeanor.
  11. Assist catering department with event execution in times of need.
  12. Texas Food Handlers Certified.
  13. Position will require a varied schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.
