QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of four years of successful administrative experience or Human Resources management experience is required. Successful experience as a campus administrator preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in personnel recruitment, hiring, leaves/absences, salary development, records management, and administration of HR policies and rules.
- Knowledge of wage and salary, and compensation programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse employee groups, administrators, and patrons.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$86,438 (BA 6)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2022-2023
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assume responsibility for the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and employment processing of hourly (Police, Berry Center, Technology, Distribution, Printing, Aquatics, and Maintenance) and paraprofessional support personnel.
- Facilitate the paraprofessional service committee's meetings.
- Provide consistent communication to campus secretaries by scheduling, planning, and conducting meetings, publishing newsletters, and offering training as needed.
- Oversee the paraeducator proficiency testing and recommend updates as necessary.
- Administer the hourly and paraprofessional support salary schedule in compliance with CFISD implementation procedures and ensure compliance with FLSA regulations.
- Calculate and code employee compensation.
- Assist with compiling and reporting projections of staff and facility needs.
- Assist each department director and principal with the promotion, demotion, discipline, or dismissal of personnel.
- Assist in responding to incidents of employee potential involvement concerning drugs or alcohol.
- Investigate allegations of minor employee wrongdoing. Work closely with directors of each department, principals, and the Director of Human Resources in the resolution of concerns.
- Compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and electronic reports, records, and other required documents.
- Ensure that department operations contribute to the attainment of district goals and objectives.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy.
- Recommend policies that improve human resource-related programs.
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of human resource rules, regulations, and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors of Human Resources and the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
