QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current industry certification or teacher certification in applicable field, or eligibility to obtain certification. In the event an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required for certification, a Letter of Intent from the college or university is accepted with a transcript commitment date.
- High school diploma or GED
- Substitute proficiency test provided by the district (Passing score = minimum of 70 on both sections), 48 college credit hours or an associate’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Experience working with children preferred
- Flexible and able to adjust daily routine
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Ability to speak, read and understand the English language
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
FEES:
There is a fingerprinting fee (approximately $50.00) associated with this application process.
SALARY:
$92.00/day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day to day basis.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
