QUALIFICATIONS:
- Texas Registered Nurse license required; Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university preferred; Associate’s degree accepted with appropriate pediatric work experience.
- Applicant must possess the appropriate licensure and credentials as defined by the State of Texas.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.
SALARY:
$92.00/day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide temporary nursing care for students with special nursing needs.
2. Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day to day basis.
3. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
