Qualifications:

1.  High school diploma or GED required.

2.  Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills.

3.  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in commercial printing shop or similar environment preferred.

4.  Able to operate the following machines:

           Presses: Ryobi 3200 ACD, 3200PFA, Heidelberg Quickmaster 46-1 and AB Dick 9995 2-Color.

           Bindery: Collator, cutter, drill, both folders, stitcher, padding machine, and GBC binder.

5.  Able to load or unload boxes up to 75 lbs.

6.  Required to stand for prolonged periods of time.

 

Salary/Pay Grade:

$15.57/HS6

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2020-2021

 

Terms of Employment:

260 days

 

Essential Functions:

1.  Set up and operate printing presses and other reprographic equipment as needed to complete work orders.

2.  Interpret work orders for proper materials and maintain quality control throughout the printing process.

3.  Organize work to produce quality products on time.

4.  Order and maintain chemicals in stock and at proper levels.

5.  Perform all bindery work to complete jobs on time, inclusive of folding, cutting, drilling, padding, shrink-wrapping, labeling, GBC binding, and shipping.

6.  Operate equipment according to established safety procedures.

7.  Perform routine cleaning and inspections on reprographic equipment as necessary to assure a high standard of efficiency and safety.

8.  Assist other shop operators as necessary.

9.  Support the Printing and Production Center with regular and reliable attendance.

10.Perform other duties and assignments as might be directed by the Printing and Production Center Manager.

 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Work with time sensitive deadlines; maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying; some stooping, bending, and kneeling; Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, toxic chemicals and materials.
