QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
2. Clear and valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
3. Minimum of 1 year experience in CFISD Grounds Department or related employment.
4. Ability to operate all lawn equipment safety and correctly.
5. Knowledge of painting and lining athletic fields.
6. Ability to manage other employees.
7. Ability to read and understand written instructions.
8. Ability to communicate (verbally) effectively.
9. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
10.Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
260 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$13.54/HS4
Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2019-2020
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for all duties of the Groundskeeper.
2. Responsible for the lawn maintenance and upkeep of assigned High School or Middle School. (Ex: mowing, edging, blowing, tree & shrub trimming, leaf raking, and mulching around flower beds.)
3. Daily ground check of campus for trash or other debris left on campus overnight.
4. Weekly maintenance on all lawn equipment. (Ex: grease, oil check, check mowing blades, belts, tires, cable, etc…)
5. Turn in work orders for equipment repair or work needed at the campus.
6. Athletic fields should be mowed twice a week during the growing season.
7. Responsible for marking and lining athletic fields during their season.
8. Plan the day out for other worker(s) if located at a High School campus.
9. Prep athletic areas for the next event.
10.Keep Foreman and Supervisor advised of campus and athletic field condition.
11.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemical (herbicides and fertilizer), and loud noises. Frequent district-wide travel.
