QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
2. Free of communicable diseases.
3. Physically able to perform assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to at least 60 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level. May be required to drive automatic equipment or vehicles, climb ladders, stairs, ramps and scaffolds. Continuously required to work with machinery, walk and stand. 

4. Ability to perform job functions in extreme hot and cold areas of Food Production Center.

5. Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certification within 60 days of employment.

6. Ability to work outside in recycling facility in various conditions.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                      

177 days

8 hr. shift (must have availability between 1:00p.m.-12:00a.m.) ($1.00 night shift differential)

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$11.59/HS3

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2018-2019

               

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Complete the task assigned by the lead person or designee in meeting operation objectives.
2. Help with inventory and rotation of food stock.
3. Assist other departments when necessary.
4. Clean and maintain production department area according to instruction.
5. Comply with appropriate dress code as outlined in the Food Service Handbook.
6. Ability to perform job functions in extreme hot and cold areas of Food Production Center.
7. Comply with food handling procedures established by the Food Service Department. (Refer to the Food Service Handbook Appendix and training programs.) Attend the Sanitation Certification Class required by departmental guidelines.
8. Comply with safety standards established by the Food Service Department which includes the wearing of safety belts by all food production workers. (Refer to the Food Service Handbook Appendix and training programs.) Report job related accidents and/or injuries to immediate supervisor within 24 hours of incident.
9. Comply with appropriate operational procedures and safety standards in the use of all equipment.
10. Encouraged to participate in continuing education opportunities.

11. Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance.

12. Assist as needed with outdoor recycling center duties.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Production Manager and/or the Food Service Director.
