QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Clear and current valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
3. Minimum 10 years’ experience in CFISD Grounds Department or related employment.
4. Must be very organized and self-motivated.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively to coaches, school administrators, and maintenance personnel.
6. Must be able to organize and prioritize work orders.
7. Must be able to manage several crews working on various projects.
8. Must have knowledge of the following areas: athletic field maintenance, irrigation, and turf grass maintenance.
9. Ability to read and understand written instructions.
10. Ability to communicate (verbally) effectively.
11. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
12. Ability to speak, read and understand English.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

260 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$25.27/HS11

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2017-2018

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversee the maintenance and up-keep of all athletic fields.
2. Oversee all irrigation schedules.
3. Coordinate all applications to sports fields with other Foremen.
4. Assist other Foreman in the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the Grounds Department.
5. Keep supervisor advised of issues involving personnel or projects.
6. Assist supervisor in the inventory of all equipment.

Must be able to work outside in all season. Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks. Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility. Maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to work alone. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Ability to keep information confidential.
