QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; 2. Eligible for a valid Texas teaching certificate appropriate for teaching assignment (Standard, Provisional or One-Year certificates only; ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify); 3. Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher preferred; 4. PBIS experience preferred;
5. Excellent classroom management.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 187 days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Model effective classroom management strategies. 2. Observe classrooms and follow-up with teachers.
3. Develop and/or facilite staff development related to effective classroom management strategies and positive behavior intervention.
4. Assist in development and implementation of behavior plans.
5. Facilitate and develop avenues of data collection to monitor student progress.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
