QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field of study;
2. Minimum of three (3) years successful experience in accounting or business related field required, experience in public school district preferred;
3. Strong management, oganizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required; and
4. Strong computer skills including database and Excel required.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Annual Contract: 250 days

 

 

SALARY:

$63,556   (BA 4)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2017-2018

 

                                      

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.   Manage the Community Programs' financial staff.

2.   Oversee the enrollment process for all child care programs, including billing and receipt of tuition payments.

3.   Oversee the handling of customer accounts, including verification of payments, refunds and collection procedures.

4.   Ensure Community Programs financial information is properly entered in Community Programs' subsidiary ledgers and district finance system.

5.   Reconcile parent accounts with deposits and payments due.

6.   Process purchase orders and warehouse requisitions as needed.

7.   Ensure fiscally responsible purchases are made using appropriate district-approved methods/vendors.

8.   Ensure purchasing card receipts are reconciled to purchasing card statements.

9.   Develop and maintain electronic budget spreadsheet to track expenditures.

10. Responsible for end of the year tax statements.

11. Assist in budget preparation, including projections of funding to ensure profit is maintained.

12. Ensure timesheets are accurate and processed timely to meet payroll deadlines.

13. Provide quality customer service to parents/guardians for program participants.

14. Provide input on office and program policies and procedures.
15. Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Community Programs and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
