QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A minimum of seven (7) years experience in a related field of audio/visual (A/V) management and support; four (4) year supervisory experience preferred.
  2. A bachelor’s or associate degree in the audio/video or related field preferred but can be substituted for experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability in the use of advanced signal flow concepts, preventative maintenance procedures and repair of A/V systems;
  4. Experience in arena rigging and theatrical counterweight fly-systems preferred;
  5. Working knowledge in the use of a personal computer using multiple operating systems;
  6. Experience with AV systems and signal flow concepts.
  7. Experience with social media administration and web design.
  8. Critical thought and experience in problem identification and creative problem resolution.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days

 

SALARY:

$77,418  (BA-5)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2023-2024

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Hire and train professionals, ancillary staff and student workers for AV Department.
  2. Manage the planning, assigning and direction of tasks for staff for events held at Berry Center and Pridgeon Stadium.
  3. Develop standard operating procedures and training programs for employees.
  4. Develop preventative maintenance of equipment programs.
  5. Develop department annual operation budget budget, forecast future equipment purchases.
  6. Provide all Berry Center clients with A/V support, suggesting equipment and labor, quoting pricing, and support billing procedures.
  7. Manage the administration of Berry Center web site, social media and event web streaming and recording.
  8. Identify equipment replacements/upgrades for aging equipment to meet the district and outside client’s expectations of technology.
  9. Conduct regular A/V department meetings for event planning.
  10. Manage the A/V department staff adheres to all guidelines and policies set forth by CFISD and to promote the successful operations of the A/V Department.
  11. Analyze and problem solve in a high-pressure environment and maintain emotional control.
  12. Work nights, weekends and holidays, indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather as needed.
  13. Serve as member of Berry Center Administration team.
  14. Serve as manager on duty for events.
  15. Assist in other projects and duties as assigned.

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
