QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to speak, read, and understands the English language.
2. Physically able to perform the assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to at least 60 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level. Occasionally required to drive automatic equipment or vehicles, climb ladders, stairs, ramps and scaffolds.
3. Continuously required to work with machinery, walk and stand.
4. Two or more years of food production experience and/ or professional culinary training preferred.
5. Self-motivated.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
260 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$15.02/HS6/Plus $1.00 night shift pay
Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2017-2018
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Direct all assigned food production within the department.
2. Direct the proper handling of all foods in storage and their transfer to other departments.
3. Assist in correcting problems with a production product.
4. Complete production schedule and have ready for weekly menu meeting.
5. Maintain ongoing inventory and rotation of product.
6. Attend the Sanitation Certification Class required by departmental guidelines. Comply with food handling procedures established by the Food Service Department and maintain sanitation standards at or above level set by Food Service Director.
7. Comply with safety standards established by the Food Service Department. Report job related accidents and/or injuries to immediate supervisor within 24 hours of the incident.
8. Participate in TASN classes to obtain certification of at least Level I.
9. Comply with appropriate operational procedures and safety standards in the use of all equipment.
10. Schedule ongoing training program with food service workers in the department.
11. Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Production Manager and/or the Food Service Director.

Standing for prolonged periods of time; walking; carrying; pushing/pulling and lifting over 60 pounds. May be required to perform job tasks in extreme hot and cold areas of the Food Production Center.
