QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  18 years or older.

2.  Attend a CFISD Mentor training

3.  Submit an application and consent to a background check.

4.  Good role model.

5.  Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Work under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other member of the school staff.

2.  Abide by the rules of the District and the campus.

3.  Meet weekly with an assigned student on school grounds 30 minutes to an hour.

4.  Provide on-going support to the educational and personal growth of students.

5.  Demonstrate values of dependability, the need for goal setting, and the importance of an education.

6.  Communicate with the Mentor Liaison.
