QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  Able to work independently with limited direct supervision.  

2.  Good organization skills; be able to prioritize and organize daily work schedule.

3.  Good leadership skills.

4.  Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.

5.  Physically able to perform assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to 100 lbs., to walk, stoop, stand, climb ramps, ladders, stairs and scaffolds. Continuously required to work with machinery.

6.  Physically able to work in non-air conditioned or sub-zero environments.  

7.  Physically able to operate 4,000-pound fork truck and battery operated pallet jacks.

8.  Must be proficient and accurate in operating a computer including MS Office and email.

9.  Hold a valid Texas Driver's License (Class B - CDL) with an acceptable driving record as established by the district.  

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                      

260 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$15.03/HS6

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2017-2018

                                             

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Assist Supervisor in the receipt of all shipments. Process receiving, discrepancy and damage reports as needed.

2.  Move inventory to various locations manually by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack and handcart.

3.  Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with pallet jack.

4.  Evaluate complaints received on shipments of equipment and supplies and take appropriate action.                                     

5.  Supervise warehousing and storage of all equipment, supplies and materials.

6.  Supervise maintenance of computerized inventory records.

7.  Initiate all purchase requests to keep stock items available at all times.

8.  Supervise and train employees assigned to warehouse.

9.  Observe and monitor applicable safety regulations and procedures within warehouse, receiving and shipping areas. Report job related accidents and/or injuries to immediate supervisor within 24 hours of incident.

10.Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance.

11.Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Food Service.
