QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or GED preferred; or enrolled in a high school program with the ability to be present during program hours (must be age 16 or older).
2. Experience with children preferred.
3. Ability to follow and implement a planned activity and supervise children.
4. Ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms with staff, children and parents of the program.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                      

177 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$9.50 per hour – CR1

Additional $2.00 per hour for morning shift and maximum of 25 hours per week, split shift
                                               

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Conduct provided activities with children according to the program schedule.
2. Keep count of those participating in assigned group/area to ensure safety of the children.
3. Comply with program policies/procedures in order to serve as a role model to participants of the program.
4. Provide customer service support to children, parents, Club Rewind staff members, campus staff and community members.
5. Appropriately utilize provided resources.
6. Utilize Club Rewind documentation to communicate with parents and record positive/negative occurrences in the program for the main office.
7. Support the implementation of regular safety drills and procedures.
8. Acknowledge all visitors and maintain a secure environment.
9. Utilize positive behavior strategies and maintain professionalism in interactions with participants.
10. Attend required trainings scheduled by the office of community programs.
11. Regularly evaluate own performance and interactions in order to provide optimal care to children.
12. Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Community Programs and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
