QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university required;
2. Appropriate standard administrator certification for the assignment; Instructional Leadership Development; certified training for teacher appraisal or eligible for such preferred;
3. A minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher; experience as a mentor teacher, team leader of department chair preferred; and
4. Visionary leadership in public schools to work collaboratively with diverse students, staff, families and communities to prepare learners for the 21st century.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 210 days

$65,560 IA 5
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2016-2017
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities in Assigned School:
1. Serve as a catalyst for innovation in curriculum development and instruction based on best and current practices. 2. Use the Professional Development Appraisal System (PDAS) appropriately with teachers by systematically observing performance, recording observation, and conducting formative and summative evaluation conferences.
3. Work with other campus administrators to calibrate the PDAS system at the building level and ensure that all timelines are met.
4. Provide timely and specific feedback to the instrucitonal staff, concerning the teaching/learning process and classroom management. 5. Work with appropriate instructional personnel in establishing standards for acceptable levels of student achievement.
6. Collaborate with appropriate staff to collect and analyze various data pertaining to student achievement.
7. Oversee and direct the use of student achievement data to recommend improvement in the design, materials, and implementation of the instructional program.
8. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the campus improvement plan.
9. Assist in designing, implementing, and monitoring campus initiatives.
10. Guide and direct efforts of teacher leaders to ensure adherence to and focus on the District's standard expectations and campus priorities.
11. Deliver staff development that provides leadership growth opportunities for teachers. 12. Serve as a problem-solver for student learning needs and related instructional issues.
13. Guide and assist teachers in problem solving related to students' learning needs, parent communications, and peer interactions.
14. Monitor teachers' lesson plans, grade books, student level changes, etc.
15. Oversee special programs and ensure that the campus has procedures established that comply with program rules, regulations, and professional development requirements. Special programs include but are not limited to HORIZONS, ESL, dyslexia, 504, TELPAS, etc.
16. Manage budgets associated with special programs including but not llimited to HORIZONS, ESL, dyslesxia, 504, etc.
17. Facilitate staff development related to the campus improvement plan and to special program requirements.
18. Manage the reconciliationof district time equivalency (DTE), campus time equivalency (CTE), and staff compliance course requirements.
19. Assist in the development of the campus master schedule.
20. Proivde assistance in hiring new staff and selecting teachers for leadersip roles at the campus level.
21. Serve as a liaison with parents and community members.
22. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional districtwide and statewide travel. Frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
