QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university;
2. Pool Operator Certification (CPO) preferred;
3. Valid Texas Driver's license;
3. Lifeguard Instructor Certification (WSl) preferred;
4. Current First Aid and CPR Certification preferred;
5. Knowledge of University lnterscholastic League (UlL) rules and regulations;
7. American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) certification preferred;
8. Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
1. Possess knowledge of pool, water filtration and aquatic timing systems
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2016-2017
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist with scheduling, supervision and management of aquatic activities and meets using the CFISD aquatic facilities.
2. Assist with the coordination of all outside use of CFISD aquatics' facilities according to CFISD facility use department rules and regulations.
3. Assist with the planning of all district wide aquatics' events.
4. Assist the Aquatics' Director with the planning and budgeting process for all natatorium expenses and budgets.
5. Assist with the maintenance and facility improvement processes as necessary to operate district aquatic facilities safely.
6. Assist the Aquatics Director and Aquatics' Safety Manager in selection of staff related to the district aquatics program.
7. Assist with the management of aquatic operations personnel.
8. Maintains a safe environment and ensures that operators and users are properly trained and that swimmers and divers are properly supervised.
9. Assist district personnel with the necessary and appropriate chemical adjustments and maintenance processes to maintain a safe aquatic environment.
10. Assist with facility safety inspections and safety drill practices involving district aquatics' personnel.
11. Assist with the recruitment, training of all CFISD aquatics' staff.
12. Attends clinics and conventions as appropriate.
13. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used: Athletic aquatics equipment, standard office equipment including computer and peripherals, and other instructional equipment, automated external defibrillator (AED)

Motion: Frequent walking and physical movements associated with sport(s) assigned
Lifting: Frequent light lifting (less than 15 pounds); occasional moderate lifting or carrying ('15-44 pounds)
Environment: Work involves exposure to normal, recurring risks associated with aquatics and swimming pool operations including some exposure to hazardous materials.
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress
Time: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours as needed to deliver aquatics programs to many divergent groups
