QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent; college credits with office skills training or equivalent business school training preferred.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of administrative secretarial experience; experience in public education settings preferred.
3. Knowledge of school district organization, operations and administrative policies, procedures and business practices.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 365) required. Adobe, Finance Plus, and eSchoolPlus experience preferred.
5. Effective verbal (receptive and expressive) and written communication skills, detail-oriented and ability to problem solve a wide variety of complex and confidential matters.
6. Ability to prioritize, organize, multi-task numerous complex administrative activities and manage time with minimal supervision.
7. Ability to work with frequent interruptions; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
8. Competency on CFISD proficiency test. (Score of 85 or above and a minimum of 50 wpm typing skills.)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$35,280 – CP6
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform general secretarial duties including correspondence, filing, and phone activity.
2. Assist campuses with questions regarding Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Texas Education Code Chapter 37.
3. Order distribution and media supplies for trainings, as designated.
4. Secure rooms and equipment for teacher and administrative training.
5. Provide assistance with trainings, Power Points, etc…
6. Monitor check-out of equipment and training programs.
7. Assist in training of campus discipline entry personnel.
8. Provide support for campus AP’s and discipline entry personnel with daily questions in regards to coding, etc…
9. Ensure integrity of discipline entries in eSchoolPlus.
10. Arrange Level II discipline hearings for DAEP placements/Expulsions and maintain all records.
11. Create six weeks discipline reports in Cognos and EXCEL; maintain and complete district and state discipline reports.
12. Maintain data related to program for campuses:
- Project Safety
- No Place for Hate
13. Maintain budget and prepare purchase orders, as designated.
14. Verify monthly mileage reimbursement and submit to Payroll, as designated.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.
