QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university, master’s degree preferred;
2. Valid Texas teaching certificate;
3. Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a secondary classroom teacher required;
4. Effective communication skills, written and oral presentation, and strong interpersonal skills;
5. Demonstrated experience in use of Excel, specifically sorting and filtering spreadsheets;
5. Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 200 days
SALARY:
$55,570 (IA 3)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2016-2017
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinate, order materials, provide training, and maintain confidentiality and test security for the federal and state assessment programs (STAAR/TAKS/STAAR-Alt2).
2. Ensure data integrity as related to district and state testing and accountability systems.
3. Train staff on procedures and guidelines of the Texas State Assessment Program.
4. Work with campus staff to identify students’ needs to maintain an appropriate testing program (i.e., accommodations, schedules, etc.)
5. Assist principal and other building administrators with the interpretation and distribution of all assessment
results.
6. Report to the district state assessment coordinator for training and updates.
7. Monitor training of TELPAS Raters and maintain certification records.
8. Coordinate, plan and train staff for campus wide PSAT, Aspire and ACT testing.
9. Assist with Advanced Placement exam administration.
10. Track End of Course substitutions and credits.
11. Coordinate summer test administrations.
12. Perform other job related duties as requested.
