QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university;

2.  Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a primary teacher;

3.  Successful experience with primary students, at-risk students, the components of balanced literacy, math instruction, integrating social studies and science, and technology in math/reading/language arts;

4.  Demonstrated skill in developing and presenting staff development, using technology to design curriculum products, and communicating and collaborating with district and partnership grant personnel.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 197 days

 

SALARY:

Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) as approved by the Board of Trustees

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Assist with the creation and implementation of a strong, research-based primary curriculum that supports the development of literacy, math, social studies, science, daily schedules, etc., for Pre-K students.

2.  Develop and monitor curriculum and staff development as a liaison with the district and TRS 4-Star private childcare providers.

3.  Provide staff development, collaborate with teachers, and advise campus and private providers’ staff on the implementation of the all Pre-K guidelines and the district curriculum.

4.  Support campus and private providers’ staff with the alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment through data analysis, planning, modeling lessons, training, and consulting.

5.  Plan for and support the integration of technology in all curricular areas.

6.  Provide training, coordination, and assistance with the implementation of all early literacy additional programs and/or initiatives.

7.  Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Primary Curriculum

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
