QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
2. Experience with after-school programs or similar preferred.
3. Experience with activity plans and knowledge of the developmental stages of youth preferred.
4. Ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms with staff, children and parents of the program.
5. Strong organizational skills and coordination of youth activities.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                      

177 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$14.00 per hour – CR5

Additional $2.00 per hour for morning shift and maximum of 25 hours per week, split shift
                                               

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist in the management of the on-campus program before and/or after school, including staff supervision and overall schedule of provided activities.
2. Comply with program policies/procedures in order to serve as a role model to participants of the program.
3. Provide customer service support to children, parents, Club Rewind staff members, campus staff and community members.
4. Manage resources provided by Club Rewind main office and the designated resources of the campus.
5. Support regular communication with main office of community programs, which includes required documentation, daily email checks and monthly meetings.
6. Support the practice of regular safety drills and procedures.
7. Maintain a secure environment by acknowledging all visitors and conducting area checks.
8. Utilize positive behavior strategies and maintain professionalism in interactions with participants.
9. Support the evaluation of the assigned program to ensure optimal functioning of all program aspects.
10. Attend required trainings scheduled by the office of community programs.
11. Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Community Programs and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
