QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
2. Experience with after-school programs or similar preferred.
3. Experience with activity plans and knowledge of the developmental stages of youth required.
4. Ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms with staff, children and parents of the program.
5. Strong organizational skills and coordination of youth activities.
6. Clerical skills preferred.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                      

177 days

 

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$18.12 per hour – CR8

Additional $2.00 per hour for morning shift and maximum of 25 hours per week, split shift
                                               

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Serve in assigned capacity to fill in for program staff absences.
2. Manage oneself according to the position assigned.
3. Support the evaluation of programs at campuses.
4. Assist in coaching new program staff members.
5. Support a program in the event enrollment increases until a regular staff member can be identified.
6. Comply with program policies/procedures in order to serve as a role model to participants of the program.
7. Provide customer service support to children, parents, Club Rewind staff members, campus staff and community members.
8. Manage resources provided by Club Rewind main office and the designated resources of the campus.
9. Maintain regular communication with main office of community programs, which includes required documentation, daily email checks and monthly meetings.
10. Maintain a secure environment by acknowledging all visitors and conducting area checks.
11. Utilize positive behavior strategies and maintain professionalism in interactions with participants.
12. Regularly evaluate own performance and interactions in order to provide optimal customer service and program support.
13. Attend required trainings scheduled by the office of community programs.
14. Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Community Programs and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
