QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or Computer Science related field;
2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing superior customer service in an enterprise class WAN/LAN environment preferred; this includes installing, troubleshooting, and supporting infrastructure hardware such as CSU/DSUs, routers, switches, terminal servers, gateways, security appliances, distance learning video systems, and wireless systems. Experience in educational environments is a plus;
3. Detailed understanding of routing and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, etc.) with a strong foundation and experience in DHCP, BootP, DNS, IP, and IP related subnetting and design;
4. Experience with Cisco Enterprise Wireless experience preferred;
5. Experience with Aruba Enterprise Wireless experience is a plus;
6. Experience with advanced troubleshooting methods and network management tools preferred; including LAN meters, laptops, protocol analyzers, syslog daemons and network management applications;
7. Need strong project management, communication and organizational skills (both written and verbal);
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
Minimum - $62,310 (BA 4)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2016-2017
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides installation, and troubleshooting services of network hardware, including wireless access and connectivity.
2. Maintains hardware network electronics and routers code levels according to district standards.
3. Coordinates the moves, adds and changes for new drops with the Telecommunications Analyst.
4. Assists with performing proactive network monitoring services.
5. Provides voice, video, and data connectivity support and installation.
6. Provides outstanding client support while offering high level assistance to Customer Care Center personnel on connection related issues.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
