QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or higher from a recognized accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas administrator’s certificate.
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and/or Educational Leadership.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a principal in public schools preferred.
- Extensive knowledge, experience, and successful implementation of an academic improvement model.

Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
Minimum starting salary $136,918 (EL-1)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work of all directors, consultants, district-level employees, and itinerant personnel who are involved in the improvement of elementary instruction.
- Collaborate with principals and other appropriate building administrators to support teachers in improving classroom instruction.
- Assume responsibility for the development of all elementary handbooks and curriculum materials.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive/supportive professional development program to enhance instructional practices.
- Assist the chief academic officer / associate superintendent in evaluating the instructional effectiveness of campus leaders.
- Conduct regular visits to elementary campuses/classrooms to monitor instructional practices.
- Ensure elementary schools implement programs that address students’ academic needs effectively.
- Plan and coordinate elementary summer school.
- Review and recommend staffing for all elementary art music and PE teaching.
- Recommend additional staff for elementary schools based on a thorough analysis of master schedules and student enrollment.
- Address parent concerns or complaints regarding curriculum issues, collaborating with campus staff to resolve matters.
- Serve as the Level Two grievance hearing officer for parent/student/employee complaints on curriculum-related issues that have been unresolved at Level One.
- Assist in preparing reports and materials for the Board of Education, summarizing information relative to CFISD instructional program.
- Contribute to the development of school board policies related to secondary curricula and instruction.
- Initiate and direct continuous research designed to improve the organization and techniques of elementary instruction
- Supervise special instructional programs in the elementary grades, e.g., gifted and talented, computer literacy, compensatory education, title programs, and make recommendations for other such programs that may be added to meet specific, identified needs.
- Assist in preparing and managing the annual budget for elementary curriculum requirements.
- Foster positive public relations by interpreting elementary curricular and instructional programs to the community.
- Participate in local, state, and national professional meetings, sharing insights and updates with district staff.
- Continuously monitor, evaluate, and revise the total instructional program to stay current with the educational trends and instructional needs of student clientele.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chief academic officer/associate superintendent.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
