QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university in communication, visual arts or related field;
- At least three (3) years work experience utilizing content management systems preferred;
- Exceptional graphic design skills;
- Understanding of social media and ability to build engagement across multiple platforms;
- Writing skills preferred;
- HTML proficiency and/or web design software experience preferred;
- Public education experience, preferred;
- At least three (3) years work experience in graphic design/visual media preferred;
- Computer proficiency required in desktop publishing; Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects preferred;
- Demonstrated proficiency on Macintosh and Windows computers;
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality essential;
- Leadership experience preferred;
- Demonstrated strong work ethic / organizational skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$68,473/BA-4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the 2024-2025 school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate an in-house graphic library by managing the creation of new images for district publications, social media channels and broadcasts.
- Coordinate and design graphics for brochures, flyers, publications, social media and the district website.
- Manage a multimedia specialist and part-time staff to ensure thorough coverage of events.
- Produce designated district publications.
- Ensure consistent branding and standards for campuses and facilities, coordinating digital signage throughout the district.
- Enhance venues and event online presence by creating, developing and managing content of websites, social media campaigns and video graphics.
- Update and coordinate marquee and digital signage system postings.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical systems at the assigned location(s) to present graphic enhancements for events.
- Design and coordinate layouts for facility signage, identify vendors and oversee installation.
- Collaborate and coordinate with venue departments, CFISD content creators and external clients.
- Must be flexible to work night and weekend events.
- Coordinate the printing of selected publications with the district print center.
- Research and gather information for ongoing projects.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the director of communication and the assistant director of communication.
