QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proof of high school graduation or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Must have a clear and valid Texas Driver’s License and have and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
- Experience in stock/inventory control, material handling and processing preferred.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and processes.
- Ability to interpret maps in order to navigate to desired locations.
- Proficient in computer skills, specifically Excel (i.e. Microsoft Office Professional).
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$17.92 per hour – HS7
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the inventory, including technology equipment and supplies, of the Community Programs department, Club Rewind, Early Learning Centers, and other special programs as assigned.
- Conduct and complete inventory audits and reports as needed.
- Maintain inventory records and order items as appropriate for departmental needs.
- Purchase supplies and snacks for assigned programs utilizing the district’s purchase order system and purchasing policies.
- Ensure supplies and snacks are delivered and accounted for at the designated programs in a timely manner.
- Deliver supplies to all program sites within timelines provided.
- Manage the department vehicles in regard to key checkout, maintenance/gas, etc.
- Review, approve, and fill supply orders according to office procedures and guidelines for assigned programs.
- Manage the distribution of major department equipment (i.e. laptops, two-way radios, printers, and similar).
- Establish and maintain an effective inventory control system.
- Act as backup for various positions within the Community Programs department, including but not limited to, registration clerk and Club Rewind positions.
- Work as part of a team to contribute to the success of the Community Programs department.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of vehicle and inventory work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Community Programs, the Director of Community Programs, and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress; Continual walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting and carrying of approximately 75 lbs. Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, and ladders. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, dust, loud noises. Frequent driving throughout the District on a daily basis.
