QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in recordkeeping and general office management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Competency in areas of filing, basic accounting and operation of computer programs.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and receive directives from multiple supervisors.

250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$32,513 – CP4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor employee time records and perform adjustments as needed.
- Calculate wages, hours worked and overtime pay for employees with multiple pay rates.
- Communicate with assigned department staff and employee to ensure accuracy of information reported.
- Respond to employee payroll related inquiries to ensure efficient, equitable and courteous resolution.
- Prepare and submit required reports and forms.
- Prepare and post all payroll changes.
- Maintain orderly and accurate physical and electronic record
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Verify records to ensure accurate payroll data.
- Answer and respond to emails and phone calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
- Monitor department payroll budget.
- Provide input on payroll processing policies and procedures.
- Must be able to meet department and payroll deadlines.
- Act as backup for various positions within the Community Programs department, including but not limited to, receptionist and registration clerk.
- Work as part of a team to contribute to the success of the Community Programs department.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager, Assistant Director of Community Programs, Director of Community programs and/or District Administration staff.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a essential function of the job.
