QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer, Microsoft Office applications, e-mail, internet and departmental specific applications, etc.
- Competency in basic accounting with a minimum three (3) years’ experience in payroll functions preferred.
- Ability to communicate with diverse internal and external publics.
- Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$32.513 / CP 4
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review, correct and maintain ancillary payroll records using an automated timekeeping system.
- Process leave (sick, personal and vacation) requests and transfer to period totals report.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll files.
- Prepare payroll adjustment report bi-weekly.
- Input schedules to automated timekeeping system.
- Aid in the confirmation and compensation of all incentive programs.
- Fill requests for additional police presence at school functions and events as requested from facilities on e-mailed or authorized faxed request forms.
- Provide invoicing for reimbursement to federal agencies for officer overtime hours.
- Provide verification of officer rates for campus/facility extra duty assignments via district mail or email.
- Ability to verify budget codes using eFinance Plus prior to submitting officer extra duty pay to payroll.
- Answer external and internal payroll inquiries concerning hourly employees.
- Answer inquiries concerning employee leave balances.
- Support the department/district with regular and reliable attendance.
- Follow district/department policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department director or designee.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
