QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university;
  2. Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment;
  3. General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies;
  4. Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations;
  5. A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting preferred;
  6. Must be willing to obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate;
  7. Experience as a coach in more than one sport preferred;
  8. Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 187 days

 

SALARY:

Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) as approved by the Board of Trustees 2019-2020.

Additional athletic stipend as approved.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
  2. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
